This cuticle cutter is highly effective in trimming off loose skin or hangnails, which many people struggle with, particularly during winter. By cutting off loose skin or hangnails cleanly with this cutter's very thin, precise cutting edge, the irritating feeling of unevenness can be alleviated immediately, stopping bad habits such as chewing on those loose strands or tearing them off, which can cause bleeding and often makes the issue worse in the long term.
Due to its low weight, it's easy to bring this cutter wherever you go, unlike the typical cuticle cutters sold in Europe.
The bottom side also has an integrated nail filing area. In a pinch, such as when getting a tear in a fingernail, it can also be used to cut fingernails, though the short, flat and thin blade is not ideal for that.
Just like with the two types of nail cutters sold in my shop, the plastic shell cuts all nail / skin trimmings inside, making for a clean process. You can shake out the contents of the plastic shell over a trash can. The plastic shell can even be removed completely for deep-cleaning.
